FOCUS: It is imperative that you “put yourself on the list” when starting
a fitness regimen. You need to see yourself as important enough to nurture your
body. INSPIRE: Find that one thing that serves as your inspiration for
your training program. Maybe it’s overcoming diabetes, or a desire to be a
better role model to your children, or maybe, as a woman, you just want to fit
into a dress you love! Whatever the source of inspiration, focus on that. Then
use it to inspire others as you travel through your fitness journey.
GLORIFY: It is true--our bodies are our temples. No matter what your
faith, you will become more open to reverence when your body is healthy and your
mind is clear.
HONOR HEALTH: Throw away the scale. Ignore the cover models. Focus on
what you are doing for your health. Have realistic goals. We are all made
differently, and a fitness program is not just for a woman trying to get into a
size 2. Fad diets are unhealthy. Realistic life changes that you can stick with
over the long haul are key.
TRIUMPH: Set yourself up for success. A life change does take time, but it’s
worth it, and it’s lasting. With these plans, you will see and feel a
difference. |
